Resident Evil 7: End of Zoe Review

The long wait for more survival horror action in the form of resident evil's latest DLC has finally come to an end. Released as part of Capcom's 'season pass' bundle, Resident Evil 2: Not a Remake (or RE2R) brings back memories from classic gaming days while still offering plenty of new twists and turns.

The story picks up right where the main game left off; our protagonist, now armed with an impressive arsenal of heavy hitting firearms and limited ammo supply, must face off against hordes upon hordes of infected enemies in a desperate bid for survival. Alongside some familiar faces from previous installments like Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong (who once again seems more interested in showing off her ample bosoms than actually contributing to the plot), players will have their skills put through rigorous testing as they fight tooth & nail just to make it out alive.

Graphically speaking, Resident Evil 2: Not a Remake looks absolutely stunning on current gen hardware. With beautifully remastered character models that hold up remarkably well against modern standards combined with atmospheric environments full of blood splatter and gore galore - this is definitely one title horror fans won't want to miss!

However, there are some minor quibbles worth mentioning before we wrap things up here today...

While overall gameplay remains largely faithful to its source material (which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering how well it still holds up), sometimes certain sections feel like they're just rehashed from previous games rather than offering anything particularly new or innovative. Additionally, some boss battles can become somewhat repetitive due to their reliance on simply dodging attacks until health runs out - maybe introducing more complex strategies would've been appreciated?

Overall though? Resident Evil 2: Not a Remake is still an enjoyable addition to the series' ever growing library of survival horror titles that fans won't want to pass up. So grab your chainsaw and get ready for some good old fashioned gore-fueled action!
